With a business-model that centres around renting, Envotherm have opened doors nationally and internationally in new and innovative ways – All while maintaining a sharp focus on circularity and sustainability.
From their office Hammelev, in Southern Denmark, Envotherm designs, develops, produces and sells the most advanced solutions for treatment of industrial wastewater on the market. Here, sustainability and circularity has been on the agenda for product- and concept-development since the company’s early beginning in 2006.
Envotherm have developed a unique solution that allows the user to recycle up to 99% of their water. Combined with the corresponding 99% decrease in costs towards disposal of wastewater, companies are given a significant economic and environmental incentive to reconsider their approach to wastewater.
Envotherm proves that the green transition can go hand in hand with low operating costs.
Envotherm is one of many companies that have felt the effect of restrictions during the Corona pandemic – Undertaking big investments for wastewater treatment plants is rarely the first priority in a time where many companies are simply trying to stay afloat. Additionally, when a big investment is finally ready to be made, most people prefer to be able to look the salesperson in the eyes and give a handshake in order to finish the deal.
Envotherm has introduced a renting option, allowing companies to enjoy the advantages of an advanced wastewater treatment plant, without having to invest. When renting, the user simply pays per treated m3 of wastewater, exactly like they would if they were to send it to a wastewater treatment facility. Since there is no investment, there is no risk either. Hence, the rental option has been especially attractive during the Corona pandemic, as companies have generally been less willing to take risks than during normal circumstances.
Besides Corona-adapting the payment-model itself, Envotherm has gone to great lengths to adapt their service to the new normal – By implementing the newest IoT technology into the systems, more than 70% of all service and support can be completed remotely from their office. Additionally, the systems are fitted with 24/7 digital surveillance, ensuring high efficiency and minimal downtime.
Envotherm was able to fully test their capabilities in coordination and remote controlling during the fall of 2020, when they succeeded in completing a full installation and running-in of a system in England, without having their own personnel at the site.
Envotherm delivers automated systems for treatment of industrial wastewater for numerous industries, with the most important being automotive, aviation, surface treatment and all industries involved with treatment of metals.
Envotherm has solutions in Europe, North America and Asia. Rental- and service-activities are performed by Envotherms subsidiary company, ET Procurement ApS – which has 120% growth in 2020. All of Envotherms’ and their wholly owned subsidiary’s activities are performed from their domicile in Southern Denmark.
Envotherm’s activities are centred around the UN’s 6th and 12th goal for sustainable development (SDGs), focusing on clean water and sanitation and responsible consumption and production respectively.
When buying an Envotherm solution, customers typically have a ROI on 18-36 months.
When renting a solution, customers normally save 30-50% of their costs from the day of installation.
