BENTELER Automotive Tønder A/S, part of the global BENTELER Group with more than 30,000 employees across 153 locations in 40 different countries, specializes in the production of aluminum components for the automotive industry.
The group is known for high quality in materials, manufacturing, and technology. In Tønder, BENTELER produces aluminum parts for the automotive industry, which results in the generation of wastewater as part of the rinsing process.
Benteler A/S Challenge
During the manufacturing process of aluminum components, wastewater containing surfactant emulsions is generated, making direct discharge impossible.
Therefore, a large portion of the wastewater previously had to be disposed of.
ENVOTHERMs Solution
ENVOTHERM supplied an ET1000 E-MVR system to BENTELER under a rental agreement, enabling the treatment of up to 6,000 m³ of wastewater per year.
The wastewater treatment system enables BENTELER to recycle more than 95% of the wastewater as distilled water, with less than 5% being disposed of. This solution has reduced BENTELER’s wastewater disposal costs by over 50% from day one.
With ENVOTHERM’s ET1000 wastewater treatment system, BENTELER has achieved both an economic and environmental benefit that effectively supports their production of aluminum components.
