With the company’s growth and expansion of surface treatment activities, including pickling, passivation, and glass blasting, there was also a significant increase in wastewater disposal costs.
Scan Bejds aimed to reduce these expenses while also cutting off the discharge to the public treatment plant in order to manage the wastewater internally.
ENVOTHERMs Solution
ENVOTHERM delivered an ET500 wastewater treatment system capable of treating and recirculating up to 3,000 m³ of wastewater per year. To accommodate continuous growth, the system was designed to be upgradeable to an ET1000 with a capacity of up to 6,000 m³ annually.
This upgrade has already been implemented in several stages, with the latest addition being an ET1250 wastewater treatment system. Scan Bejds Steel A/S now has a customized solution that supports the company’s growth and reduces wastewater disposal costs. The investment has a payback period (ROI) of less than 24 months.
