Cost-effective wastewater treatment plant for process water at Meggitt A/S
Meggitt A/S, part of MEGGITT PLC’s Sensing Systems division, has been an expert in manufacturing piezoceramic components for sensors since 1952. The company was acquired by Meggitt in 2008 and has since invested in advanced solutions to manage their industrial wastewater.

Meggitt A/S Challenge
During the manufacturing of piezoelectric ceramics, wastewater containing heavy metals and chemicals is generated, meaning it cannot be discharged directly into the environment. This resulted in high costs for wastewater disposal.
ENVOTHERMs Solution
ENVOTHERM delivered an ET100 wastewater treatment plant capable of processing up to 600 m³ of process water annually. This solution has significantly reduced Meggitt A/S’s wastewater disposal costs. The plant is equipped with sensors and probes that monitor the system and provide timely alerts when cleaning or replacement of wear parts is needed.
With the user-friendly control system, Meggitt’s employees can easily monitor the processes and all parameters via touch panel, mobile phone, or computer. Additionally, ENVOTHERM’s engineers have the ability to access the plant online to oversee the process and quickly identify any issues, ensuring efficient and precise troubleshooting.
