Since then, the capacity of the plant has been doubled. Now production has increased again and another evaporator is needed, this time an ET 1250.

Scan Bejds Steel A/S carries out pickling, passivation, decontamination, degreasing and glass-blowing of primarily stainless steel. The wastewater is corrosive to ordinary stainless steel, therefore the evaporators are made of a higher alloy which can withstand the corrosive wastewater.

Previously, the wastewater was disposed of. With Envotherm’s energy-efficient solution, wastewater can be treated and recycled by up to 95%. After a trip through the evaporator, the purified water is so clean that it can be reused for washing the treated items, which was not possible before.
