Since then, the capacity of the system has been doubled. Now production has increased again, creating a need for an additional evaporator—this time an ET 1250.

“Envotherm’s solution works, so we chose it again,” says Matthias Trum.

Scan Bejds Steel A/S performs pickling, passivation, decontamination, degreasing, and sandblasting primarily of stainless steel. The wastewater is corrosive to standard stainless steel, which is why the evaporation systems are made from a higher alloy that can withstand the corrosive wastewater.

Previously, the wastewater was disposed of. With Envotherm’s energy-efficient solution, the wastewater can be treated and reused up to 95%. After passing through the evaporator, the treated water is clean enough to be reused for washing the treated parts, which was not possible before.

“We would like to recommend this solution to other industrial companies with process and wastewater,” says Matthias Trum, CEO and owner.
